One of my big frustrations is having a dining table for 6 when the family is currently 7 and growing. There is always an odd man out at get togethers/holidays. So I said farewell to my dining table (which I loved) and passed it along to Sr. Elizondo’s newly married daughter.
Here’s the before pic. I never disliked this space with the exception of it feeling a tad too traditional for me and the decor of the house.
The wall banner is now balcony decor, and the barstools are also with the newly married couple. We purchased a new, more modern table that seats 8-9 people comfortably.
The table is a dark gray marble with greige upholstered chairs and bench. The square shape is perfect for the squared alcove. I like a table grouping in the center, instead of one centerpiece. I’m thinking of adding some modern candlesticks too.
Lastly, I’m obsessed with the blush colored linen tablecloth from Zara Home. It might be my favorite thing I’ve purchased for the house recently.
