I haven’t been in a reading mood lately. A couple of chapters every other night seems to be my current norm, which is why this book took me so long to read.
A Gentleman in Moscow is a great read though. A Russian aristocrat is sentenced to house arrest inside a hotel. Over decades he develops friendships, works in the hotel restaurant, falls in love, and becomes the parent figure to a young girl left in his care. The character was always dignified and lovely despite his circumstances. A reminder we can all use.
